"Mom, it will blow you away."

Quarterback Tajh Boyd left Eugene this weekend very impressed with what he saw. The 6-2, 210 signal caller with 4.57 40-yard dash speed from Phoebus HS in Hampton, Va flew back home last night but was excited enough to tell his mother, Carla Boyd some of his thoughts about the trip.

"He told me, 'mom it will blow you away," said Carla Boyd of Tajh Boyd's reaction to his trip to Oregon.

Carla Boyd said her son was impressed with the whole package the Oregon Ducks have to offer - academics, football program and community. She indicated her son thought the facilities were second to none.

Mrs. Boyd also had some interesting things to say about Oregon Coach Mike Bellotti and Head Coach in Waiting (Offensive Coordinator) Chip Kelly. She said both men are very open and are "real good guys." She described Kelly as someone "full of energy" and she was pointedly impressed with both. She liked the fact there is an open door policy that when a parent has a question or concern they are free to talk to the coach.

Tajh Boyd won't make a decision just yet. He will play in the U.S. Army All-American game on January 3rd. Mrs. Boyd expects that Tajh and his family will then look at all the factors and make a decision sometime before LOI day.

Boyd is a 5-star quarterback and is rated No. 4 nationally at his position.
