Reassuring Trip For Oregon Commit

We caught up with Tualatin defensive end Taylor Hart just as he was headed out the door to play tonight for his basketball team against Tigard. Hart, 6-6, 255, the first verbal recruit for the Oregon Ducks 2008 recruiting class, was in Eugene this last weekend for an official visit. How did things go?

"It was excellent," said Taylor Hart of the visit. "(It was) reassuring of everything I've already seen."

While the official visit was special, it wasn't exactly the first time Taylor has been on campus in Eugene. He made his verbal commitment last April just before the Ducks held their spring game at Autzen Stadium, but this time Taylor had a chance to meet some of the other recruits and go out to dinner with the other visitors and the coaches. Brandon Hanna served as Hart's official host on the trip.

Hart believes that Bryson Littlejohn may have commit during the visit.

When Taylor committed to Oregon he was being recruited by Oregon State and Portland State plus receiving a lot of letters from Stanford. Since then though he hasn't heard too much from other places as it was very obvious he was solid at Oregon.

During the football season, Tualatin made it as far as the quarterfinals in the 6-A playoffs. For his efforts Taylor was named 1st Team 6A on offense and defense.

The Ducks have him projected as a defensive end.

As far as his other interests, we will post the final score of tonight's game with Tigard on Talefeathers.
