Clements Interested In What Oregon Offers

eDuck Sports has reason to believe that four-star running back, Eduardo Clements, of Booker T. Washington HS in Miami, Florida, is a target recruit for the Oregon coaching staff in 2010. Clements was kind enough to spare some time and sit down with eDuck for a quick Q&A session.

Have you had any contact with the University of Oregon?

"Yes. Mainly mail and that's it. They send me mail about school, about the facilities, about the uniforms…"

How often would you say you hear from Oregon?

"Mostly every week I get mail from them. In my mail thing, I always have a letter from the University of Oregon."

What is your overall interest in Oregon?

"[My] interest is good. Everybody has the same amount of interest in me for college, but Oregon, I just like their running style. Their style of offense is the same offense we run at our high school with same kind of formations and all that stuff. So I have a lot of interest in Oregon…just the tradition of Nike and the whole nine yards at Oregon."

Is there one thing that captures your attention more than anything else with regard to Oregon?

"Just their whole formations and what they run (on offense)."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"Very versatile. I know how to catch the ball, read defenses, and [I'm] just a patient runner."

Would you you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?

"At the college level: Knowshon Moreno. At the pro level: either Clinton Portis or LaDainian Tomlinson."

What are you looking for in a program?

"First, just education. A great education is something that I'm looking for. Playing time too."

Do you know what you might want to major in when you get to school?

"I've got two things in mind right now: Sports Management and Journalism."

Have you received any offers from other schools?

"Yes. As of right now I have 15. Miami (Fla.), Georgia, West Virginia, South Florida, Central Florida, Cal…those are just a few teams."

Do you have any leaders?

"Everybody's the same. It's just my family and I. We just really need to sit down, make a decision and talk about every school and try to take all of my visits."

If Oregon were to offer, would they be among the top schools you would consider?

"Yes. Like I said, it's the offense that I like. As a running back, going to Oregon, you are going to be the workhorse."

Are you planning on going to any camps this summer?

"Yes. The Florida State camp, the West Virginia camp, and the Georgia camp."

Are you planning on going to any "Junior Days"?

"[Yes] the Friday Night Lights camp at [University of] Florida."
