Neal Hopes To Receive Offer From Oregon

In spite of his impressive exploits on the football field, running back Rajion Neal of Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Georgia, currently holds no offers. May the Ducks be the first team to extend an offer? "I would hope so," remarked Neal.

Have you had any contact with Oregon?

"They had come to the school a couple of times to talk to (2009 Duck signee) Braxton [Lane] and Braxton acquainted me with [one of the recruiting coaches] and we had talked a little bit."

Have you been receiving mail from Oregon?

"Yes sir, I have been receiving mail from Oregon...everytime I get about two or three or four letters [a week] from [Oregon]."

Based purely on your interactions with the Oregon coaches, do you feel there could be an offer from them in the future?

"I would hope so."

What would you say your overall interest in Oregon is?

"Overall I would say it's like an 8 or a 9. I'm very interested in [Oregon] and I want to get know [Oregon] and I want to talk to [Oregon]...see if I can come out there."

What is it about Oregon that interests you?

"They have a good coaching staff that gets to bowl games."

How would you describe yourself as a running back?

"As a running back, [I'd say] a scat back sometimes. I can get to the corner, block when I need to."

Would you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?

"People would say I will be at times like Adrian Peterson -- a hard runner -- and then like [Reggie] Bush in the open field."

What are you looking for in a program?

"A coaching staff I can get along with, people that can relate to me, things like that. [A place where] I can get a good education and have a good time."

Do you have any offers from other schools?

"Not yet, but schools are showing a lot of interest in me and wanting my transcript...giving me cards to call them. I've been on one Junior Day so far, but there's a couple I think I might attend."

What schools have you been in contact with?

"Oklahoma, Florida State, Alabama, schools like that."

Is anyone leading at this point?

"I'm highly considering Oklahoma, but I've always wanted to attend Oregon."

Are you planning on going to any camps this summer?

"Yes sir. Ohio [State] shows a lot of interest and I might go to their camp and I just did the Scout [camp]...I've got a couple lined up."

Are you planning on going to any Junior Days?

"I haven't got anything in the mail so I'm gonna have to talk to my parents, but the Junior Day I did attend was Florida State."
