Four-star Wideout Likes Oregon Offense
Do you currently hold an offer from Oregon?
"No I do not."
Have you had any contact with Oregon?
"I get letters from them, but that's it...they send me a lot of questionnaires and other than that it's a lot of information about school, the school's background, background of their football program, and their football players."
What would you say your overall interest is in Oregon?
"I'd say I'm very interested in Oregon. The offense they run is similar to the offense we run here at my school and it's very user-friendly, so the transition would be easier for me from high school to college and the worries of not getting enough passes -- or not getting enough stats to get my name out there -- wouldn't be an issue."
So would you say that their offense is the one thing particular that has you most interested right now?
How would you describe yourself a wide receiver?
"I would describe myself as an elusive receiver who can score from anywhere on the field. I can make big plays from a two-yard screen or six-yard hitch. I bring a lot more power when I play than what a lot people think because of my size."
Would you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?
"Not that I can think of, I haven't really thought about that."
What are you looking for in a program?
"First of all, how much weight a degree [from a particular school] would carry once I graduated in to the business world...and then the vibe and environment that I get from the coaches and how they built the environment around their team and what they want their team values to be. [Also] just the environment around the campus made by the fans and other students. [I want to know that] if I couldn't play football anymore, would I still want to go there as a normal student."
What offers do you currently hold from other schools?
"Right now I have 27...[I have offers from] Oklahoma, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Cal-Berkeley, UCLA, Miami (Fla.), Tennessee, Vanderbilt, North Carolina [etc.]"
Is there anyone leading at this point?
"No, not yet, but here shortly, I plan on making a top 12 list."
If Oregon were to offer, where would they stand among your current offers?
"[I don't know] I'm in the gathering of information phase."
Are you planning on going to any camps later this spring or in the summer?
"I plan to make as many one-day camps as I can and go to every camp that is in my top 12."
Are you planning on attending any Junior Days?
"For Junior Days, I've already gone to Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Florida State. [I'm going to go to] Alabama and North Carolina."
