Mr. Anderson Is Hearing From The Pac-10

Lakewood High School in Lakewood, California is loaded with Division I/FBS talent for 2010. Especially on the offensive side of the ball, where wide receiver, Kevin Anderson, may be their most talented and dynamic player. Though it's early, and Anderson has yet to receive an offer from Oregon, he confesses a high interest level in the Ducks and claims a handful of offers from Pac-10 schools.

Do you currently hold an offer from Oregon?

"No, not at the moment."

Have you had any contact with Oregon?

"The defensive coach I think came to the school...(Michael) Gray."

Have you been receiving mail from Oregon?

"Yeah, like's been the top ten reasons to be a Duck and stuff like that...telling me about their facilities and stuff."

What would you say your overall interest in Oregon is?

"I like their offense, they run kind of like a spread. I like their coaching staff, their facilities, their fan base...good academics."

How would you describe yourself as a receiver?

"I'm a quick-type of guy. I'm a real quick route-runner. I'm a playmaker, so I just handle my business on the field."

Would you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?

"Yes. DeSean Jackson."

What are you looking for in a program?

"I'm not looking to sit on the bench at any place. I just want to get on the field and show them what I can do on the D-I level. I'm not just trying to ride the bench. I'm just there to have fun and play the sport I love."

Do you have any offers from other schools at this point?

"Yeah, I've been offered from Arizona State, Washington State, Washington, [and] BYU. That's all I can remember right now."

If Oregon were to offer, where would they rank among some of those schools you just mentioned?

"Number one."

Are you planning on going to any camps later this spring or in the summer?

"I think I'm going to the UCLA one, the USC one, and then probably the Cal and Oregon one."

Are you planning on attending any Junior Days?

"I haven't [been to any] but I'm going to the Washington one...I think."
