Lowe Finally Lands Coveted Oregon Offer

Portland product, Keanon Lowe, of Jesuit High School, is widely recognized as one of the top collegiate prospects coming out of the state of Oregon for 2010. The speedy wideout already claims official interest from a handful of Pac-10 teams, but on Thursday, he received, undoubtedly, one of his top offers to date.

Have you received an offer from Oregon?

"I just got it."

Who was the Oregon coach who offered?

"I talked to Chip Kelly on the phone and he did."

What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?

"Very, very high. I like Oregon. I've liked them since I was little and I like them and Oregon State, I like them equally...but yeah, I really like Oregon a lot."

What would you say has you interested in Oregon?

"Everything about it. I like the offense a lot. I like the spread offense...I like Coach Bellotti, he's been there for awhile, ever since I can remember. I like everything about it. I like their facilities, I went on a tour when I was over there and it was real nice."

How would you describe yourself as a receiver?

"Definitely a speed guy. I make the big play and I love blocking too."

Would you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?

"If I could, it would be a mix between Steve Smith and Hines Ward."

What are you looking for in a program?

"Definitely the coaching there and I don't really care about the traditional kind of stuff, you know, if a bad team is in contact with me, I don't really care about how they did last year or anything. It's good to see their facilities, of course, and just talk with the coaches and build relationships with them."

What offers do you currently hold?

"I have offers from BYU, Washington, Stanford, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, and Arizona State."

Is anyone leading at this point?

"No. They're all tied."

Are you planning on going to any camps this summer?

"Yeah, I was planning on going to the Oregon one actually...and the Washington [camp]."

Are you planning on attending any Junior Days?

"Yeah, I have the Oregon one coming up [May 2] and then the Washington one on the 7th."
