Perry Playing The Field

Despite the fact he only just started playing football, defensive end, David Perry, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida has caught the attention of some of the nation's most decorated programs. At 6'6'' 230 lbs., Perry oozes athleticism and he certainly appears primed for a monster senior season. eDuck Sports talked to Perry recently to get the scoop on his recruitment and gauge his interest in Oregon.

Do you currently hold an offer from Oregon?

"Yes sir."

Have you had any contact with Oregon coaches?

"'s been awhile. I think it was a couple weeks ago [when I had last contact]."

Do you remember which coaches you talked to?

"Chip Kelly."

What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?

"They're pretty high interest for me...I want to check out their campus. I know they have a very good football team and they're a good school."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"Tall, fast, powerful."

Would you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?

"No, no sir."

What are you looking for in a program?

"Somewhere that can get me to my full potential."

Do you currently hold any offers from other schools?

"Yes. [I have written offers from] University of Kentucky, Florida State, Alabama, Florida, LSU, South Carolina, USF, UCF...there's a lot more, but I can't remember them right now.

Is there anyone leading for you at this point?

"No, not at all."

Where does Oregon fit in with the rest of the schools you're looking?

"Oh, they're on my list. I like them."

Are you planning on going to any camps this summer?

"Yes, [but] I'm not sure which ones yet."

Are you planning on attending Oregon's Junior Day?

"Because I'm so far away, it's hard, so I don't know."

Are planning on attending any Junior Days at any other schools?

"No, not right now."
