Slavin Wants To Hear From Oregon

As one of the top wide receiver prospects in the state of California for 2010, Eleanor Roosevelt High School's, Tyler Slavin, is beginning to attract a lot of attention from Pac-10 schools. Yet, despite already being offered from the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, and Washington, Slavin is still waiting to hear from his top schools.

"Well he came to the school about four or five times. We've talked quite a few times."

What would you say your overall interest in Oregon is?

"I would say it's very high."

Have you visited Eugene before?

"No I haven't."

How would you describe yourself as a receiver?

"I have quick feet, I'm a tall receiver, I'm fast -- like a 4.4 40 -- I like a lot of jump balls, I always get the ball at the highest point...it's just fun to me. I'm aggressive, I like getting off the line, I'm quick off the line."

"I want to say I'm more like an Anquan Boldin. Or like a Terrell Owens."

"I'm looking for a school that has a fitness program, as far as, the medical field. The coaching staff, I like to keep the family bond...the players and stuff. I'm not too fond of the 'Oh, they have to have a winning record' or anything, [I just] want that bond with [the team]."

What offers do you currently hold from other schools?

"I've been [officially] offered from UNLV, Nebraska, Arizona, Arizona State, and Washington."
