James commits to Ducks

Milvon James, a 5-11, 185-pound athlete from Los Angeles (Calif.) Fremont confirmed that he committed to Oregon during the Ducks' Seattle Bowl game against Wake Forest December 30th. <br><br>"Losing didn't bother me at all," he told TheInsiders.com Monday night. "In fact, it kind of got me excited. I know for sure I can play there."

Oregon is recruiting James as a safety, but has the option of trying out another position if he prefers.

"I weighed the pros and cons and realized the University of Oregon was the place for me," he said. "I have relatives in Sheridan (father) and even though it rains a lot I really like the players and coaches there and I know I have a good chance of playing early."

Milvon mentioned that Mike Bellotti has called him, as well as all the other Duck coaches on staff.

"I can't wait to get up there," he said. "I'm glad to be a Duck." James will be taking his official visit to Oregon this weekend and that will be the last official visit he'll take.
