What Brown Can Do For You

Running back Anthony Brown, of Henry J. Kaiser High School in Fontana, California has been an absolute terror on the camp and combine circuit since coming off an impressive junior campaign that saw him rush for over 1000 yards and 11 touchdowns. Brown is poised for a monster senior year and is looking for his first official offer, which he hopes comes from his favorite school.

Have you had any contact with Oregon?

"Yes. I talked to two of [the coaches]. The recruiter in this area and somebody else. I get a letter from them every two days."

Have you physically met with any of the coaches?

"No sir."

What have your conversations with Oregon coaching staff been like?

"They want me to come to their camp, so I'm going to try to get up there. And that's about it."

At this point, what would you say your overall interest in Oregon is?

"It's high, because I checked what I want to study there -- because I want to be a physical trainer -- and the program, I checked up on it, and it's really good. That's my dream school and everything in my room is Oregon, so I've been looking in to Oregon for a cool minute, so I'm going to get up their for the camp. I don't know why they aren't offering me, but I'm going to go up there and show 'em at the camp."

So would you say it's the educational programs at the school that capture your interest the most?

How would you describe yourself as a running back?

"Powerful. I'm explosive. I'm an explosive running back and everything I do is full speed."

Would you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?

"I'd say Reggie Bush. I jump a lot -- I hurdle people a lot -- so I'd say Reggie Bush."

What are you looking for in a program?

"Up-tempo. Up-tempo as a football team. That's my most concern. If everything is up-tempo [during practice], when it comes to game time, it's real easy. Oregon has had success the last few years, that's what I've been liking about them too, so Oregon is really my choice."

Do you hold any offers from other schools?

"No sir."

What schools have you been hearing from the most?

"USC, UCLA, Washington, Tennessee, Michigan, Colorado, Boise State, Utah, Nebraska...there's a lot right now."

Do you have a top three, top five?

"Yeah I got a top five. Oregon, USC, UCLA, Washington, Tennessee."

What camps have you attended or that you are planning on attending?

"I've attended a lot of camps and every camp I've went to I was the MVP of. Last year as a sophomore, I went to two combines and I won MVP overall. This year, I went to the Nike camp at SC and I was a standout running back and they were really impressed with me up there, and I went to the FBU camp at SC and I won the Maxwell Trophy, so I've been doing pretty good."

Have you been to or are you planning on going to any Junior Days?

"I've been thinking about Junior Days and I'd take some but, the money isn't right right now."
