James talks about his visit.

TheInsiders.com caught up with Milvon James, a 5-11, 185-pound athlete from Los Angeles (Calif.) Fremont, and he gave us his thoughts on his trip to Oregon, the school he recently verbally committed to.

"It was very nice," he said. "We didn't do too much, but just checking out the facilities and the Casanova Center and everything else was worth it."

James' hosts were Marques Binns and Steven Moore. "I mostly hung out with Marques, because we can relate to each other," James said. "We're both from LA and we played against each other. He told me that you have to get used to the change in weather. They'll be times you want to go home, but it's a great place to be and it's all love up there. He said that since there's no pro teams in Eugene the school and town treat you like a celebrity."

The Ducks want Milvon as a shutdown corner, but haven't closed the door on him playing some offense.

"They told me that I'm a little bigger than the corners they have now, so they like my size and how I can be a physical corner," Milvon said. "I could even play a little safety for them too, maybe even some offense. It's up to me."

He also told us about some of the other players he knew of that committed on their visit to UO this weekend. "Jerome Johnson was there and he committed," Milvon said. "Also Raymond White from Vegas (Green Valley HS), Eddie Whittaker, the JUCO player, and also Marcus Miller from Cerritos."
