Rory Cavaille will miss the opener against Boise State announced Oregon Head Coach Chip Kelly. Cavaille injured his shoulder in practice yesterday after a collision with rover Marvin Johnson. Cavaille, a former walk-on was penciled in as a starter when fall camp started two weeks ago. Cavaille has appeared in 35 games over the previous three seasons and totaled six receptions for 42 yards and one touchdown.
In other Duck news, the standing room only tickets go on sale this Friday at 8 a.m. According to a release from the Oregon Athletic Department, tickets may be purchased first on-line through the Ducks' official athletics department website, www.GoDucks.com at 8:00 tomorrow morning, followed by sales in person at the Casanova Center Athletics Ticket Office and by phone at 1-800-WEBFOOT, beginning at 9 a.m. Friday.
Standing room-only tickets are $40 each for games vs. USC (Oct. 31) and Oregon State (Dec. 3), $33 each for the California (Sept. 26) contest, and $29 for games against Purdue (Sept. 12), Utah (Sept. 19), Washington State (Oct. 3) and Arizona State (Nov. 14).
There will be a limit of four tickets per transaction allowed to be purchased for games vs. California, USC and Oregon State.
A limited number of scattered single reserve tickets remain for contests against Purdue, Utah, Washington State and Arizona State for $55 each, while all reserved seats for home games vs. California, USC and Oregon State have been sold out.
While next Tuesday's scrimmage has been closed to the public, Fan Day is still scheduled for Saturday August 29th.
