Big DL Looking Elsewhere

Ray Tago, a 6-3, 275 pound defensive lineman from Long Beach City College (Calif.) had committed to Oregon back in December but now says he's leaning to another Pac 10 school.

"Cal is my leader right now," Tago said. "It's all about the depth chart. Oregon is pretty loaded on the defensive line and I think I could play right away at Cal. I liked both of my trips to each school about the same but I committed to Oregon because it just felt right.

"I'll have my final decision in about a week or so but right now, it's looking like Cal. Oregon is coming over for a home visit later tonight and I think I'll be setting something up with Cal in the next few days."

Tago played at Long Beach Poly (Calif.) in high school and signed with USC but did not qualify. He'll have three years of eligibility left at whichever school he chooses. If the Bears are able to steal Tago, it will add to a class that already looks like their best in the last five years
