Studio City SG has big night

Bryce Taylor, 6-4 JR SG, Studio City (Calif.) Harvard-Westlake, had probably the biggest game of his high school career last night.

His high school team faced their rivals, Los Angeles Loyola, having lost to them once already this season. Harvard-Westlake is ranked 11th in the L.A. area and Loyola #10, and trailed Loyola by a game in the Mission League. Taylor is also friends with Loyola's Omar Wilkes, the 6-3 senior shooting guard who is bound for Kansas next year, and the two spent much of the game guarding each other. So, there was plenty of drama leading up to this game.

Taylor stepped up by scoring 54 points, a school record, in leading Harvard-Westlake to a 94-85 win. He made 19 of 33 shots and hit all 11 of his free throws.
