Bruins hold 3-0 lead at the half

Pasadena -- The Oregon-UCLA game was a defensive struggle during the first half of the game and at halftime the Bruins lead 3-0. The game statistics are misleading as Oregon out gained UCLA, but it was time of possession and a 53-yard Kai Forbath field goal that spelled the difference.

Oregon had 148 yards of total offense including 91 yards rushing. LaMichael James leads all rushers with 82 yards on eight carries. Nate Costa was 6-for-12 and 49 yards, while his UCLA counterpart Kevin Prince was 9-for-15 and 51 yards. Johnathan Franklin was the leading Bruin runner with 32 yards on 10 carries.

Oregon's Rob Beard tried on field goal from 51-yards out but was blocked.

UCLA held onto the ball for nearly 20 minutes compared to Oregon's time of possession of just over 10 minutes.
