ASU Game Set for 7:20 P.M.

EUGENE – The University of Oregon's Nov. 14 home football game with Arizona State will kick off at 7:20 p.m. Saturday to accommodate an ESPN national television audience, according to an announcement today from the Pacific -10 Conference office.

The game will be televised as part of the Pac-10's television contract with ESPN/ABC and Fox Sports Net.

Original television windows with the league's television partners called for ABC Sports to offer a regional telecast at 12:30 p.m. and FSN to televise a game at 7:15 p.m. But in an agreement announced last week between the Pac-10 and the TV networks, FSN agreed to a change in time slots, moving its television window to 12:30 p.m. in exchange for ESPN/ABC assuming the later window and offering the schools greater exposure by gaining at national audience on ESPN.

The Stanford at USC game will air on FSN at 12:30 p.m., followed by Arizona at California on Versus at 4 p.m. and Arizona State at Oregon on ESPN at 7:20 p.m.

With the confirmation of Saturday's football kickoff, Oregon also announced its start times for this weekend's men's basketball regular-season opener as it hosts the BTI Tip-off Tournament Friday through Sunday in McArthur Court.

UC-Davis and Colorado State will play the opening game at 4:30 p.m. Friday, followed by the Ducks and Winston Salem (NC) State at 7 p.m. Oregon will face UC-Davis at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Colorado State and Winston Salem State squaring off at 4:15 p.m. Sunday's schedule calls for UC-Davis and Winston Salem State to play at 1 p.m., and Oregon to play Colorado State at 3:30 p.m.
