Duck Duo Pac-10 Players of the Week

Two Oregon Ducks were named Pac-10 Player(s) of the Week today by the Pacific-10 Conference for performances in Oregon's 44-41 double-overtime win over Arizona in Tucson on Saturday night. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was tabbed for the offensive honors while back up quarterback Nate Costa was the special teams honoree.

Jeremiah Masoli was spectacular in the Ducks thrilling win in the desert by throwing for three touchdowns and rushing for three more including the game winner. Masoli was 26-of-47, 284 yards in passing along with an additional 61 yards rushing.

Nathan Costa was also selected for Special Teams Player of the Week. Seldom is a holder awarded the honor of Player of the Week, however it was Costa's concentration in fielding a snap from center and placing the ball in the critical game tying point after touchdown that made the difference and sent the game into overtime.

Oregon came from a 10-point deficit to tie the game and a touchdown in both overtime periods to win the game. The Ducks are now 9-2 for the season and lead the Pac-10 with a 7-1 conference record.
