Busy Week Ahead for Ducks at Rose Bowl

The Oregon Ducks will travel to Pasadena on Christmas Day and begin preparations to meet Ohio State on New Year's Day for the 2010 Rose Bowl. While the coaches and staff will travel from Eugene, players have the option of either taking the team plane or meeting up with the team in California.

The first practice for the Ducks will take place on Saturday, December 26th at 11:05, but is closed to the public. Following practice on Saturday, the two teams will head to Orange County for a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim. The first media conference of the week is scheduled for 2 p.m. with Coach Chip Kelly, Jordan Holmes, Jeremiah Masoli, Walter Thurmond III and Will Tukuafu available for questions.

On Tuesday Oregon practices from 11:05 until 1:05, but media will only be allowed to watch for the first 15 minutes of the session. All practices are to be conducted at the Home Depot Center in Carson.

An Oregon media conference on Monday will start at 8 a.m. with Defensive Coordinator Nick Aliotti, Brandon Bair, Talmadge Jackson III, Casey Matthews and Spencer Paysinger available for questions. The Ducks will practice again at 11:05, but will be entirely closed to the public. Lawry's Prime Rib is the site for dinner on Monday evening.

Tuesday the Ducks again will hold a media conference at 8 a.m., with Offensive Coordinator Mark Helfrich, Ed Dickson, LaMichael James, Jeremiah Masoli and Bo Thran taking the podium for questions. Practices are scheduled closed for the rest of the week.

Kelly, John Boyett (FS), Jeff Maehl (WR), Jeremiah Masoli (QB), T.J. Ward (FS); plus the entire team in jerseys without pads on Wednesday at 8 a.m. will answer questions on Wednesday. While the Ducks are at practice on Wednesday, the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony presented by Citi, will be hosted by the Pasadena Quarterbacks at noon at the Brookside Golf Club. Barry Alvarez, Tom Hansen and John Hicks are to be inducted into the Rose Bowl Game Hall of Fame.

Kelly will again be in the spotlight on Thursday morning for a 25-minute press conference. Later that day The Rose Bowl Kickoff luncheon presented by Trader Joe's assembles at noon and will have Kelly, Holmes, Masoli, Thurmond and Tukuafu sitting at the head table representing the Ducks.
