Jones Will Visit Eugene For A Second Time

The Pacific Northwest is home to a bevy of underrated football talent year in and year out. Graham (WA) Graham Kapowsin wide receiver is one of the top prospects in the Northwest and he has begun to see interest in him expand. Holding a top two of Washington and Oregon (in that order), Jones will be visiting Eugene for a second time this June.

Do you have an offer from Oregon?

"No, no I don't."

What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?

"I talk to them a lot. They said they're really interested and that I'm one of their guys that they really want to get. I think they just want to get to know me more before they offer."

Which coach from Oregon have you spoke the most to?

"Coach (Scott) Frost."

How often would you say you speak to Coach Frost?

"Maybe every two weeks."

You were here for the Oregon Junior Day and the Nike camp that was in Eugene earlier this month. Talk about your experience here during that time.

"Well when we went down for the Junior Day, I got to see a lot of the campus, I got to see all of their facilities and the facilities -- I thought -- were really nice. We got to look at their practice and talk to a couple of the players and everybody, that I talked to at least, seemed cool and it seemed like a good environment to be in. They do take care of the athletes too because we also went to the new academic center and they have computers for all the athletes -- they get their own laptop -- and they have stuff to take care of just seemed like a really good place."

In your conversations with Coach Frost, have you guys discussed the possibility of you taking another visit to Eugene in the near future?

"Not right now, but I know I'm going to be back down there for the combine on the 5th."

What is your overall interest in Oregon?

"Well right now they're probably second on my list right now after Washington."

Would you say that some of the things you saw on your visit to Eugene early in May are what have you most interested in Oregon right now?

"That's what it is."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"I have a lot of speed, I have a good burst off the line, soft hands, and I'm getting stronger too. I'm more of a downfield receiver. I like long balls."

Would you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?

"I don't know, not right now. I can't really tell. My game is actually starting to come in to its own right now, so I don't know."

What are you looking for in a program?

"Mainly the place that fits me best and the place that I'm most comfortable with."

Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?

"I was thinking somewhere along the lines of either business or astronomy...I haven't made my decision yet."

What are some of the offers that you have from other schools right now?

"I just have Washington, Washington State, Idaho, and UNLV."

You said you favor Washington over Oregon. Outside of those two schools, do you have any other favorites you're strongly considering?

"Boise State."

Other than making it down to Eugene for the combine, have you scheduled any other visits anywhere?

"No, not right now."
