Miernicki Lands on PING All-America Second Te

NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oregon golfer Daniel Miernicki has been named to the PING All-America second team as chosen by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Miernicki, a two-time medalist and the runner-up at the NCAA Southwest Regional this past season, ranked second on the Ducks and ninth nationally in scoring average at 70.62. The Santee, Calif., native was an honorable mention PING All-America in 2009.

The first-team All-Pac-10 choice is a member of the U.S. squad for the 2010 Palmer Cup which will be played at the Royal Portrush Golf Club in Portrush, Northern Ireland, this summer.

The Ducks recently tied for third at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships, the best finish in school history.
