Bo Thran, from Barlow High School in Gresham, has made 17 consecutive starts for Oregon. According to the media release from the Oregon Athletic Department, Thran has started 12 games at left tackle and five games at left guard. The release also indicated that Thran has been named to the Lombardi Award watch list for the nations' top lineman or linebacker for the upcoming season.
Having already graduated from Oregon, Thran was also named by Phil Steele Publications as All-Pac-10 first team. At the conclusion of last season Thran was an honorable mention all Pac-10 performer as voted upon by conference coaches. He was also honored as the team's outstanding O-lineman (Moshofsky Award) and won the Officer Award, the team physical adversity honor.
Three finalists will be selected in late November with the 2010 winner announced at The Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show on Dec. 9 according to the media release.
