Royster Breaks Away in POG Vote

Nittany Lion fans vote PSU running back Evan Royster as their Huddle Up Player of the Game for his strong performance against Temple on Saturday.

With 187 yards on 27 carries (7.2 YPC), Evan Royster had a career rushing day for Penn State against the Owls of Temple. Royster talked about his performance here. Royster ended up with 44 percent of the fan vote.

Royster eclipsed his total combined run yards in the first three games by 77 yards and was instrumental in the Nittany Lions' come back.

Here is how the voting ended up:

Evan Royster (RB): 44%
Collin Wagner (PK): 23%
Michael Mauti (LB): 19%
Nick Sukay (S): 10%
Justin Brown (WR): 2%
Pete Massaro (DE): 2%

The FOS/Huddle Up Player of the Game Award is the first and only honor given to Penn State football players by Penn State football fans. Voting is exclusively conducted at after every game.
