Nate Stupar discussed topics ranging from Joe Paterno's plans to coach in 2011 to special teams play, among many other topics. Here is a sampling of his comments.

On being called a spoiler against MSU:

"We've had a really really tough schedule, and I wouldn't want it any other way. But we're a tough team and we'd love to spoil their opportunity to get into the Rose Bowl. This is a big game for us."

On special teams' impact on games:

"Special teams does change the game a lot. From my freshman team to now, I have been a part of them. The blocked punt in the last game gave us momentum and excitement and it sparked something with the team that had us play harder."

On if the focus on special teams in practice has helped:

"I think so; Coach Johnson and Vandy have put a big emphasis on special teams and we changed out coverage formation so we spent a lot of time with that and it's paid off."

On if it being Senior Day adds emotion for the team:

"This game is for a New Year's day bowl, it's the last game of the season and for the Seniors so we want to go out there and send the Seniors out with a win."

On if the defense is emphasizing getting to MSU QB Cousins since he is struggling with injuries:

"We emphisize this every week. We did that last week; we knew (the Indiana QB) wasn't mobile. This week we want to get to him and get him off his game."

On if this is a chance for a signature win:

"It would be a nice way to end the season and go off into the bowl game. MSU has one loss and is a great team. They show composure. It will be fun to go out there."

On the Michigan State offense:

"Watching film they really..."
