FOS GALLERY: Foreign Team Offense

See which Nittany Lions have been playing the roles of Gators as PSU prepares to face Florida in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day. We start with the offense.

When Penn State players wear white jerseys during bowl practice it typically means one thing — they are on the foreign team.

The equipment crew outfits most of the scout team members with numbers corresponding to the player from the other team they are portraying in practice.

For example, redshirting freshman Paul Jones was assigned No. 11. A quick glance at the depth chart of Outback Bowl opponent Florida reveals he is playing the role of Jordan Reed, the Gators' starting tight end who occasionally takes snaps at quarterback.

These photos were taken during a Penn State practice on campus just over a week ago.

Where applicable, we include the player's name and the name of the Gator he is portraying. But note that not all foreign team members had numbers that corresponded with someone on the Florida depth chart.

We will include defensive players in a separate gallery, so stay tuned.
