Big Chesapeake Bowl for Zanellato

Penn State Class of 2011 pledge Matt Zanellato played in Thursday's inaugural Chesapeake Bowl and came up with a big performance.

On the day Matt Zanellato, a 6-foot-3, 195 pound receiver, pulled in four catches for 126 yards and a touchdown. The North squad had a tough time finding a corner who could cover Zanellato's size and route-running.

As Scout recruiting analyst Matt Alkire said, "[He] was outstanding. Those weren't just regular catches either. He made an absolute circus catch on one."

Although there have been questions around Zanellato's speed Alkire explained, "He looked pretty fast against their speed guys. He had no problem outrunning a few "4.4" kids in the game on routes."

Zanellato committed to Penn State on November 27. Back then he explained his pledge to Penn State, saying, "I called Coach Johnson on Saturday after my game and I told him I want to accept the offer. He asked me if I was sure and I told him I was never so sure about anything in my life. He said sweet and welcome to the family."

In 13 games he grabbed 88 catches for 1,540 yards and 19 touchdowns.
