Belton Picks Penn State

Scout four-star prospect Bill Belton from Atco, NJ pledged to Penn State on Monday evening, becoming the 14th member of PSU's Class of 2011.

Bill Belton committed to Penn State on Monday evening, selecting the Nittany lions over West Virginia. He also held offers from programs like Cincinnati, Louisville, Oregon, Florida, Maryland, South Carolina and Purdue. Previously he was committed to Pitt.

The 5-foot-10, 190 pound Scout four-star wideout is ranked No. 13 nationally at the position. As Scout Recruiting Analyst Scott Kennedy assessed Belton previously:

"A quick twitch athlete with an excellent burst and change of direction that he shows off avoiding the rush as a quarterback. His feet aren't the only thing that's quick; as a quarterback he has a quick release. Despite his athleticism, he shows a lot of poise and vision on the field looking to pass first. Quick enough to play corner or receiver on the college level."
