Recently, Penn State has faced four straight top 20 opponents in five games, going 2-3 in those games. Penn State nearly upset Ohio State and Purdue on the road, losing those games by a combined four points.
Although Penn State won the rebounding battle in their last four games, Iowa is among the best rebounding squads in the Big Ten with 36.5 RPG.
Currently, in the RPI Penn State ranks No. 49 and boasts the fifth toughest schedule in the nation. Getting a break over the past few days was important to the Lions considering their recent run of games. However, the Lions are anxious to get back on the hardwood.
As senior forward Jeff Brooks said, "Everybody is ready to pick up after that bye week and get back on [the court] to take the show back home against Iowa."
"We look forward to getting back home against Iowa. Hopefully the students have seen how hard we've been playing and we'll get a good crowd out here," sophomore guard Tim Frazier said.
Although Iowa has won the last two meetings with PSU (both in Iowa City), Penn State has won the last three meetings in State College and is 8-6 at home vs. Iowa. The Hawkeyes lead the series 22-11.
