Crossan Courts Penn State

Penn State is in the mix for speedy Satchem (N.Y.) High RB prospect Dalton Crossan. With an upcoming Junior Day visit to PSU and an invite to watch the spring game, Crossan is more interested in the Lions than ever.

Running back Dalton Crossan hasn't landed an offer from the Lions just yet, but he has been in close contact with about 15 schools. "My early favorites right now are Penn State, Rutgers, Miami, Syracuse, Purdue, and North Carolina State," Crossan said. "Penn State is great—obviously the tradition behind it and everything that Joe Paterno has done."

He continued, "It is one of the most nationally known programs, and one of my early favorites."

Crossan, an avid snowboarder and jet skier, says he's got his own unique style on, and off the field. "I use my straight ahead speed and quickness," Crossan said. "I am very explosive getting through the hole. I am a decent sized back, I choose to run around people and make them miss, but I will lower my shoulder too."

Crossan has been clocked at 4.54 in the 40, and has over a 3.0 GPA in the classroom.

The most important things Crossan is looking for in a school -- put Penn State in the lead pack. "Academics is a big factor," Crossan said. "I have to get along with the coaching staff and think they are good people, facilities are a big thing, as well as the history of the program."

Crossan is enjoying the recruiting process so far, but hopes schools like Penn State extend offers his way soon. "My favorite thing is just getting into some of these schools," Crossan said. "It's nice to see the hard work you have put in for so many years paying off."
