O'Connor Looking at Penn State

The offers are rolling in for Colorado offensive lineman Joey O'Connor. See what he has to say about the recruiting process and his plans for a Happy Valley visit.

Colorado offensive lineman Joey O'Connor is in the thick of the recruiting process, but enjoying it for the most part at this stage, saying, "It's going pretty good. Offers are rolling in. It's definitely humbling and overwhelming right now."

Despite a slow start to his recruitment, the offers have started piling up and are coming from all over the country.

"I've got offers from Penn State, UCLA, Tennessee, Colorado State, Colorado, Utah, South Carolina, Arizona, and Arizona State. Michigan is close to offering as well."

With 9 offers on the table, O'Connor is still sourcing through schools and planning visits, including one to PSU.

"Right now I'm trying to keep my options open. I've only seen Colorado State and Colorado, so I want to stay open until I see what else it out there. I'm going out to Penn State on June 24th, and I'm also headed to Utah on June 14th."

An impressive combination of size and athleticism, the 6-foot-5, 288-pound lineman brings a nasty streak that the coaches love.

"All the coaches I've been talking to say that I like to get nasty. I'm a pretty nasty player on the field. I like to finish my blocks and drive that other player into the ground no matter what."

In no rush to make a decision, O'Connor plans on letting the process take it's course while taking all of five of his official visits.

"I think I'm going to wait a little bit longer and enjoy the ride while I have it and take my official visits."
