Lambert Looking at Lions

Top 2012 LB prospect, Quanzell Lambert, will camp at Happy Valley with the rest of the Timber Creek HS team. He talked to FOS about getting back into football and his summer plans.

Four-Star NJ MLB Quanzell Lambert has finally completed his track season, and is ready to focus on football -- and with that, recruiting.

"We won states for track," Lambert said. "And football started last week, I am pretty pumped up for football."

Lambert added a second place finish in the shot put and a fifth place finish in the javelin at the state meet.

Excelling in track forced the Timber Creek HS standout toput his recruiting on hold throughout the season, but he is beginning to evaluate his options on the gridiron.

One of the first places he is visiting? Penn State.

"I am going down for camp to Penn State," Lambert said. "It's really a team thing, where we bond."

The Erial, NJ native is ready to focus on his team, and is looking forward to his last high school season.

"My team is going to be great this year," Lambert said. "We have a lot of returners, and the line got bigger and better."

But what exactly should we expect from Lambert this season?

"I want to help my team to win a championship," Lambert said. "I am most definitely feeling strong."

He continued, "I have had some good workout sessions with my team also."

The standout LB has already cemented an offer from the Lions -- but is he still liking PSU?

Lambert replied quickly, "Yes."
