Chambers Expands Staff

PSU's new basketball head coach Pat Chambers adds another assistant to his staff. Meet Keith Urgo here.

Pat Chambers added a second assistant coach to his Penn State staff after recently tapping Eugene Buroughs. This time Chambers went back to his Villanova roots and hired former Wildcat assistant coach Keith Urgo.

Urgo has been a member of the Villanova staff for the past four seasons. Urgo joined the Wildcat staff in 2007 as the program's video coordinator. After a year there he moved to the director of basketball operations role. After two years in that position Urgo he was promoted to assistant coach.

Previously he was on the staff at Gonzaga High School in Washington, D.C. where he coach the junior varsity team to a 32-7 record and assisted with the varsity squad.

As Villanova head coach Jay Wright said of Urgo, "Keith brings great energy and passion to everything he does and has built outstanding relationships with our student-athletes and the people we deal with here on campus in the Villanova community. He is a talented young coach."

Urgo is a 2002 graduate of Fairfield University where he played varsity basketball and lacrosse.
