The Lift For Life event is a strength and conditioning competition where which Penn State football players compete as teams of four in an 11 event challenge. The events include:
Field Challenge I (100 lb. plate carry and dolly push)
Barbell Bench Press
Field Challenge II (same events as Challenge I)
Each event is scored by max repetitions (to failure or in a timed set) in order to award team points. No breaks are permitted between events and each competitor must compete in every event. The team with the most team points at the end of the competition is declared the Lift For Life Champion - a coveted honor for the players.
Lift For Life is held at Holuba Hall on the University Park campus and open to the public with a suggested entry donation of $5 per student/child and $10 per adult. Fans will have a chance to meet and get autographs from current and former members of the Penn State Football team. The event's doors open at 1:30 pm and the event last from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
