Golden Talks Offer

Malik Golden landed his first BCS offer in early June, and has been on a recruiting roll ever since. Fight On State talked to the Cheshire Academy standout WR/DB about his recent visit to PSU.

Cheshire Academy WR/DB Malik Golden's recruiting is heating up. After picking up his first BCS offer in early June from Iowa, he has been on a roll -- collecting offers from Boston College, UConn, Syracuse, and Penn State.

Golden picked up an offer from the Lions after attending camp in Happy Valley.

"I thought I did well at the camp," Golden said. "But when the offer came, it still shocked me."

He continued of the experience, "The camp went very well, I had a good time."

After receiving an offer from Coach Buggs, the Cheshire, Conn., prospect admits he was pretty excited.

"Of course I'm pumped," Golden said of the offer. "There's not too much better than Penn State."

Golden just returned from visiting Boston College and will head to UConn Wednesday -- and says he eventually has plans to visit the Lions.

"I should be visiting later on this month," Golden said of Penn State. "And I might head down to Georgia Tech."
