LONG SHOTS: Who's Visiting?

Week No. 2's matchup with SEC foe Alabama is huge for more than just Penn State's current team. Many recruits will be visiting Happy Valley for the game, and Fight On State's Beth Long has the latest on the the name prospects who will be in town.

Penn State's second game of the season, when Alabama travels to Happy Valley, will big a big weekend for recruiting. We have the latest on some of the top talent who will be on hand. Check back for updates.

Other Notes of Interest

• N.Y. RB Akeel Lynch told me that most of his games are on Saturdays so he is having a hard time deciding when he will make it where. He also said he was still very interested in PSU.

• Camren Williams said the Alabama game will be an unofficial visit for Reeves and himself (they are teammates) – they will be taking their official visit in December.

• J.P. Holtz said he was going to make it up for more than just the Alabama game, hopefully to several more – but he isn't sure which ones yet.

Jesse James will enroll in January, as far as I have heard.

• Last I talked to DB recruit Mike Tyson he had not set any visits, he said he wanted to focus on the season and then set visits after the season.

• The Alabama game will be Malik Golden's first Penn State game ever.

2013 Talent to Look Out For

In anticipation of September 1, and the first day that 2013 recruits can really begin hearing from coaches – here are some 2013 prospects with high interest in PSU.

• Wheaton, Ill., OT Kyle Bosch visited Penn State several months ago, and says he likes the Lions a lot.

• Lake City, S.C., OLB Devaris Brunson is expressing an early interest in PSU – along with a handful of other SEC and ACC schools.

• Camp Hill, Pa., TE Adam Breneman is perhaps one of the top prospects in the NE for the 2013 and has made it publicly known that PSU is one of his favorites.

• Charleston, W.Va., WR Ryan Switzer will be visiting for the Alabama game, and says he is very excited to see the atmosphere.
