Wideout Moye Injured

Penn State wideout's status for the Purdue game is up in the air following a foot injury. Moye is the Nittany Lions' leading receiver.

Penn State leading receiver Derek Moye has sustained a foot injury that has called into question his availability for the Nittany Lions' homecoming game against Purdue Saturday, a team source told FOS.

The source said Moye was unable to practice Wednesday and that he was wearing a protective boot. The exact nature of the injury was not clear, though one source said it was not football related and happened when he tripped down steps.

A fifth-year senior, Moye has 28 catches for 485 yards and three scores this season -- all team highs. His 132 career receptions are the fifth most in school history and his 2,226 yards are the third most ever for the No. 25 Nittany Lions.
