"He's a big running threat. Last year he ran a little bit more, but he can still take off so we have to be ready for that."

On playing against Northwestern's short passing game:

"It's challenging, but that is why you have to get your conditioning up. They run really fast so you need that high energy level."

On playing a mobile QB last week and if it's helped to prepare them for Northwestern:

"Definitely. It helped us identify gaps we have to address and just get comfortable in that type of game situation."

On the biggest defensive challenge facing Northwestern:

"There is not a lot of time to substitute. That is why you need your conditioning..."
