Switzer Liking Lions

Top 2013 prospect Ryan Switzer is making quite a splash on the recruiting scene. He talked to Fight On State about his continued interest in the Lions and a future visit.

2013 George Washington HS (W.V.) WR Ryan Switzer is becoming quite a hit on the recruiting scene – and his momentum is showing no signs of slowing down.

So far this season Switzer has hauled in 26 touchdowns along with 1,850 all-purpose yards, plus five interceptions.

"Purdue and Wake Forest were the latest to offer me," Switzer said. "And schools like California, Okalahoma, Tennessee, Oregon, Maryland, Notre Dame and USC are all coming on strong."

The George Washington standout has seven offers so far, from Purdue, Penn State, Florida State, Wake Forest, Marshall, N.C. State, and Ohio. And he just returned from a visit to Notre Dame.

But the school that Switzer is the most interested in? That's Penn State.

"Coach Kavenaugh and Coach McQueary both talk to me," Switzer said of Penn State. "I hear from them weekly."

He continued, "They are still my number one school."

Plus, the Lions 8-1 start to the season isn't hurting their cause with the Charleston, W.V., prospect.

"They are winning which is good," Switzer said.

Switzer has clocked in at a 4.35 in the 40, and knows that a deep threat WR is something the Lions are looking for.

"I think I could help them a lot with their offense," Switzer said. "And I hope to visit again, possibly for the Nebraska game."
