FOS TV: Jay Paterno

The Nittany Lion assistant met the press for the first time since his father was fired at Penn State

As he does every week, Penn State quarterbacks coach Jay Paterno stood in the corner and watched the head coach's press conference following the Nittany Lions' 17-14 loss to Nebraska at Beaver Stadium.

When the top man wrapped up, Paterno met the media himself, following a pattern he has set the last few years.

But in reality this appearance wasn't like any of his previous appearances in the Beaver Stadium Media Room. This time, instead of watching his father -- legendary Nittany Lion head coach Joe Paterno -- he looked on as interim coach Tom Bradley spoke.

Then, Jay Paterno was hit was an unprecedented crush of reporters and cameras.

It was, you see, his first appearance in front of the press since his father was fired Wednesday night in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

You can see the entire interview session below. Included is a shot of Paterno reacting while Bradley answers a question about him.
