Commits Thankful on Thanksgiving

Several Penn State Class of 2012 pledges talk turkey, covering the things for which they are grateful on a special day.

Thanksgiving comes once a year, and as you enjoy your day of family, friends and food, give a little thought to exactly what you are thankful for.

Several of Penn State commits from the Class of 2012 answered did just that, beginning with the first commit of the class – Howland HS (Ohio) OL Anthony Stanko.

"I am thankful for everything from family to the god-given gift of the ability to play football," Stanko said.

Pittsburgh, Pa., standout J.P. Holtz is on the same page as Stanko.

"I am thankful for everything I have," Holtz said. "And that I have been blessed with in my life "

But there is one thing in particular that stands out for the Shaler Area HS standout. "The thing that I am most thankful for is my family," Holtz said. "They are amazing and help me through everything."

The second commit for the PSU Class of 2012, Catholic Memorial HS (Mass.) LB Camren Williams, certainly agrees with his future teammates.

"I'm thankful for the blessings I have in my life," Williams said. "With my family and my friends."

And he has one more thing to add.

"I am also thankful to be able to play a sport that I love every day," Williams added. "And be able to continue my career and attend a highly regarded institution in Penn State."

From the entire Fight On State family, Happy Thanksgiving.
