Mornhinweg Talks PSU Visit

Skyler Mornhinweg had the opportunity to take his official visit to Penn State and talk offense with Coach O'Brien.

Fight On State caught up with Skyler Mornhinweg Sunday afternoon about his official visit to Penn State this weekend. Mornhinweg said it was a "great visit." He arrived on campus Friday evening and stayed through Sunday morning before he returned home for his high school banquet.

Mornhinweg was able to meet several of the coaches, players and fellow recruits. His weekend host was Michael Zordich, who rooms with Michael Mauti, so he hung out much of the time with the two standouts during his time at PSU.

Mornhinweg also spoke with early enrollee Jesse James who he knew from the Semper Fi All-American Game. He also caught up with Jamil Pollard on the visit.

Mornhinweg said that the coaches seemed great and he really liked getting to know the players. He mentioned that they watched almost all of the Patriots' game Saturday night and he said Brady and the New England offense looked great.

Mornhinweg also met with Coach O'Brien on Sunday morning and he ran through his offensive ideas and explained his offensive schemes. Mornhinweg did not want to mention what those offensive schemes are because he doesnt know if Coach O'Brien wanted them out there or not, but that he got a great picture of how the offense will look and he thought it was exciting.

As far as his commitment, he said that he did not really want to talk about any plans for visits to other schools or whether he had reaffirmed his commitment, but he did have a "great visit."

Coach Vanderlinden will be visiting him at his school in the near future. He is unsure of when Coach O'Brien may come and visit him for an in-home sit down.
