Hytchye Hearing from PSU

Cincinnati area defensive back Jaleel Hytchye of La Salle High has been hearing from plenty of heavy hitters, including Penn State. Fight On State has the latest on the talented corner inside.

2013 cornerback Jaleel Hytchye of La Salle High in Cincinnati, Ohio has seen his recruiting get off to a fast start.

"Recruiting is starting to pick up," Hytchye said. "I have been in contact with Northwestern, Michigan, Illinois, Penn State, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Indiana and a few more schools."

And the Cincinnati standout has several offers to show from the process already.

"I have three offers so far," Hytchye said. "From Kentucky, Kent State, and Western Kentucky."

One school that Hytchye hasn't visited yet, but would like too? Penn State.

"I have heard from Coach Butler quite a bit," Hytchye said. "And Penn State seems really interested in me."

He continued, "I am looking forward to meeting the coaching staff."

Hytchye hasn't planned a visit yet, but hopes to have more contact with the staff soon.

"I know I wont be able to set many more visits because of track season," Hytyche said. "So I hope that Coach Butler can get out to see me this spring."

In the meantime, Hytchye will spend most of his time training for the 400 and 800 during track season, and working on several things on the football field.

"And this off-season I am working on improving my aggressiveness and turning my hips quicker," Hytchye said. "But my press coverage and my man coverage ability plus my ball skills are my strengths."
