A.Q. Shipley, a 6-foot-4, 270-pound, defensive tackle from Coraopolis (Pa.) Moon Area has been on the recruiting radar since the year 2000.
It was no secret that heading into the May Evaluation period, Shipley would be one of the most sought after prep prospects in America.
Several schools had offered A.Q. a scholarship and after taking several unofficial visits, the All-America candidate says he's seen enough.
"I made several visits and looked at all my options," said Shipley.
"Everytime I visited a school, everything pointed back to Penn State. I just feel that Penn State is the place for me."
Great get for the Nittany Lions. Now look for Shipley to start bending the ears of fellow Pa. stand-outs Rory Nicol, Chad Henne and Kyle Mitchum.
