Getting to Know Toney

2013 defensive end Dom Toney of Monsignor Bonner talks about a school he would like to hear from, upcoming visits, and more inside.

2013 Monsignor Bonner defensive end Dom Toney has been hearing from several schools, and is seeing his recruitment heat up.

"I have spring game invites from Connecticut, Maryland, Villanova, and Rutgers," Toney said. "I have also heard from Pittsburgh, Delaware and have a junior day invite to Princeton and Temple."

And he has several visits planned soon.

"I am going to spring practice Saturday at Villanova," Toney said. "And I am planning on going to all the spring games."

Plus, there is another school that Toney wants to hear from.

"I am very interested in Penn State," Toney said. "The tradition and so many good athletets came from there."

He added, "Plus, they have such a great academic program."

And the 6-foot-3, 236 pound defensive lineman well definitely be on campus for the coaches to take a look during the Lions summer camp.

"I will be going to Penn State's camp this summer once I find out the dates," Toney said.

Throughout the summer camp season, Toney will be looking to showcase his strength's to the schools he is hearing from.

"My pass rush is my strength," Toney said. "And I am very aware of whats happening around me on the field as well."

And those skills, Toney want's to use to attain his goal of playing college football.

"I want to play college ball because it builds character," Toney said. "And teaches so many life lessons."

He added, "Plus I want to play because I love the game."
