FOS TV: Hoop Verbal Brandon Austin

We caught up with the lanky guard after he led Imhotep to its second-straight PIAA title. See what he had to say about the game, Penn State and a top prospect he hopes will join him in Happy Valley.

Junior guard Brandon Austin did a little of everything in leading Imhotep Charter to its second-straight PIAA AA title at the Jordan Center Saturday.

In a victory over Beaver Falls and star senior forward Sheldon Jeter, Austin overcame early foul trouble to finish with 13 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and three steals.

Austin has committed to play his college ball at Penn State.

It was no wonder Nittany Lion coach Pat Chambers — watching from the stands behind the Imhotep bench — had a smile on his face most of the afternoon.

After the 56-54 overtime win, Austin met with reporters in the Imhotep locker room. The crunching noise you hear in the video above is coming from a a bag of ice he was using to treat a bruised hand.
