Although Timber Creek Regional (Erial, N.J.) running back Zaire Williams did not receive a PSU offer, he said the visit went very well. As Williams explained, "Hopefully, they do offer me because that is one of the places I really like."
Camden Catholic (Cherry Hill, N.J.) OLB Jarred Alwan also had a "very good visit" with the Nittany Lions and particularly enjoyed meeting with the coaches. Although the discussion did not focus on an offer yet, he especially loved the University Park campus and said he didn't realize it is so beautiful. Alwan plans to return to Happy Valley in early June for camp with a focus on earning an offer. His lone offer currently remains from Temple.
Council Rock North (Newtown, Pa.) defensive end Curtis Cothran got his first in-depth look at the PSU program, and his first opportunity to sit and talk with coach Bill O'Brien and the staff. "I was really happy they offered me," Cothran said as he traveled home. "Penn State is a great campus. All of the coaches were great and very welcoming. They made me feel at home." He stated his top three currently are Maryland, Rutgers and Penn State.
Hodari Christian of McKeesport Area (McKeesport, Pa.) talked about his visit, saying, "It was real nice. I liked everything about it from the campus to the weight room and I felt real comfortable down there. West Virginia and Penn State are tied right now."
Although PSU has not yet offered Christian, he spoke with Coach Vanderlinden and Coach London (his area recruiter). No word on what it would take for an offer to come, but Christian remains interested nonetheless.
