"I visited last Friday," Collins said. "I loved it."
But what made it so special?
"I watched practice," Collins said. "The atmosphere of practice was great, I felt like I was at a NFL practice."
And there were several specific reasons why.
"The tempo of practice made it feel like an NFL practice," Collins said. "Plus, the coaches were teaching and coaching on every play."
Even though Collins has spent most of his time at Bishop Mcnamara High as a quarterback, the Lions are looking at him as a defensive back.
"They told me they need defensive backs once this senior class leaves," Collins said. "They told me that I could come to camp and have a great chance of getting an offer."
And that's exactly what Collins is planning on doing.
"I will go to Penn State's camp," Collins said. "And I will play whatever position is needed for me to play at the next level."
He added confidently, "I'm a football player."
