Worley is High on Penn State

After a visit from the Nittany Lions, the Philly wideout is considering a visit to Happy Valley this summer.

Daryl Worley grew up as a neighbor to current Penn State defensive end Deion Barnes. They shared the childhood dream of playing college football.

Barnes has already fulfilled his dream, and Worley won't be far behind him. The 2013 WR recruit from William Penn Charter in Philadelphia received a visit from PSU linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden Thursday.

“It was amazing” Worley said. “I learned a lot of new things about Penn State's wonderful program, and the experience of this staff is great.”

Worley was surprised by Penn State visiting him, but likes what he hears about the Nittany Lion program.

“Coach Vanderlinden told me how interested they were in me, and how experienced the wide receivers coach (Stan Hixon) is and how he could take me to the next level,” Worley said. “He also let me know about all the new efforts and things Penn State is putting into the program.

“Penn State has an amazing program and campus,” he added. “I love their school and it sounds like a wonderful place from what I hear.”

Worley said he plans on taking his visits this summer, and Penn State may be one of his stops.

“I liked what I heard, and I may plan on taking a visit to Penn State sometime in the end of spring or early summer,” Worley said.
