PSU Gets Jack-ed Up

With the firing of Ron Everhart, Reading, Pa forward Donovan Jack was allowed to decommit from Duquesne and according to The Patriot-News opted for Pat Chambers' program.

Donovan Jack is a 6-foot9, 200-pound forward who had offers from programs like Minnesota, Northwestern and Washington State as well as Keystone State programs like Drexel, Saint Joseph's and La Salle.

Jack averaged 17.0 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks for Berks Catholic last season. Considered to have solid footwork and a head for the game, he is expected to add needed size to Chambers' squad.

Chambers' connection to Jack dates back to his previous job as Boston University head coach where he recruited Jack.

Jack represents the latest in a strengthening position for Penn State basketball around the Delaware Valley with players like D.J. Newbill, Brandon Austin and Isaiah Washington.
