Blanding Has Taste For Penn State

Class of 2014 defensive back wants to learn more about the Nittany Lions after meeting assistant coach Charles London recently.

Class of 2014 defensive back Quin Blanding is quickly popping up on the radar of programs across the country, including Penn State. The Bayside, Va., recruit is up to 15 offers, and spoke to PSU running backs coach Charles London Monday.

“Coach London told me he likes my film and likes what I'm doing in the classroom,” Blanding said.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound sophomore has played (and is mostly being recruited as) a safety. But he said London didn't specify whether PSU viewed him as a safety or corner.

While he has plenty of offers, Blanding said he wants to get to know more about Penn State and would like to visit this summer.

“I still want to learn more about them,” he said. “I know they are a big football town. … I'm going to try to get there this summer, (so) I look forward to learning more about them.”
